Anytime I hear my transmissions make a noise or if it ever feels as if it isn’t shifting exactly right, the first thing I do is take my vehicle to Charlie at Paradise Auto & Truck Center on San Marcos Blvd in San Marcos Ca. Driving Tips: Driving in the Fog

Foggy Weather Driving Tips: Driving in the fog is considered one of the most dangerous situations on the road because your visibility is limited! Fog or driving in the fog is the number one causes of major pile ups, again, it is dangerous to drive when you can’t see what is in front of you. Below are a few tips to help you drive safely in the fog. Just like in our article called “Wet Weather Driving Tips,” the best thing you can do is to slow down and keep your headlights on. “Do Not use you High Beams!” Keep the headlights on at the normal evening setting and if your car is equipped with fog lights, turn those on as well. Fog lights sit lower on the car and closer to the road and assist drivers in seeing the road better. Another reason to keep your headlights on is to help others see you as well as to help you see. Here is a video from Young Drivers of Canada that explains exactly what we are talking about here: If you do find yourself driving in heavy fog, we recommend that you use the lines on the side of the road to your right and increase the distance between you and the car in front of you.
